Streams

How it's worked out

Categories used on this page

Classification guide

Every moment gets exactly one category. Split a segment when its content changes; use the priority order only when a moment genuinely fits more than one category and cannot reasonably be split. Ordinary conversation is not Grifting unless it meets the definition above.

Priority: Dead Air → Looping → Huck Grifting → Coffee Grifting → Donation Grifting → Family Grifting → Weight-Loss Grifting → Grifting → Ads → News. Specific Grifting categories take precedence over general Grifting. Dead Air and Looping take precedence when they are genuinely happening, not just as brief traits of meaningful commentary. Ads covers paid promotions for other companies only; his own products and merchandise are Grifting. News is the default for substantive current-events coverage.

Each stream is transcribed automatically, then an AI model reads the whole transcript and splits the stream into parts, putting each under the category above that fits it best. Anything that fits none of them is Other.

Percentages are shares of each stream's full length. Totals over several streams are weighted by length, so an eight-hour stream counts for more than a one-hour one.

The labels come from an AI reading an automatic transcript, so expect mistakes: misheard words, and judgement calls where one part turns into the next. Every part is listed with its timestamp so you can check it against the stream.
